MY MINDS EYE

My mind’s eye what do I see, what’s to come for you and me
the clouds above are inflamed, the coming rain rejects your pain.

Memories and the things never said, un-fulfillment when your dead
this sorrow will not ease your strain, a lesson learned with disdain.

Oh fearless heart hear my cries, in my mind’s eye why must I die
those before me must know why, those to come just say goodbye.

A path was set by stories untold, the lessons of life ready to unfold
this lost my love this retched ill, a waste from rotting I feel it still.

Now off I go yes! the sun will sets, what of this life had we not met
turn away may you not cry, fools for ever more will know not why.

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
