BIRTH OF THE NATION

In a desperate act of attrition
this nation that was in transition.
Harsh it would be from inception
A quest taken with no hesitation.

Plowing anger seas non-stop
Next up! was Plymouth Rock.
Hardy was the people at hand
now to subdue this promise land.

Fearless were they in their pride
Soon they had spread far and wide.
So much was in this land of plenty
Thirteen colonies a world of envy.

Then their was a west ward serge!
Audacious! this nation on the verge.
Forceful in supplanting their will
Fully capable and ready to kill.

Ingenious! were their fortifications
Fierce in achieving their expectations.
Now we proclaim our legitimization
We offer liberty with this legislation.

Then currency of commerce would win
That’s the moment the slaves moved in.
Their was much death in it’s persuasion
Enacting the Emancipation Proclamation.

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
