HOW I PANICKED

via Daily Prompt: Panicked

Dreadful darkness descending upon my cabin in this canyon of envy

this desperate wind swept bully echo’s with this frustrated fury.

Exhausted cries of the owls, that furious hunger in the wolf’s howls

raging ridicule it’s trepidation, discipline, discontent in my situation.

Cautiously moving to the window, anxieties agitation like in my casino

then that thunderous clap! this lightening bolt streaking across the sky

Bitterly bold rain began to fly, this movie scene where everybody dies

I was dejected it was satiric, I still checked the locks as I panicked

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
