What do you see when looking into your cup of life
unknown tomorrows mixed with yesterdays fights
The content of your cup, unseen levels of contentment
my unknown future actions, the pending resentments
Those foul waters eroding the shores in your well-being
the lies found within my own heart I just didn’t see them
Naked shame cutting it’s grove in the flames of your pain
I watch in disgust it’s fear and mistrust feeling it’s strain
You cry! unfulfilled wants from a life lacking fruitful deeds
I’ll fry! for deceitful acts picking poison fruit from the trees
We both lay within a rotted rut! putting a hole in our own cup.
