Nigerian Queen

I can feel that warm glow from her skin,
hearing her heart beat that rhythm within.
Her grace and pride do I dear look inside,
passion within a dream, my Nigerian queen.

Can one not see the worry in this woman’s eyes,
and not feel her story in the doubts that she hides.
This fear in a man’s will that would deny her still,
she extends her hand, this tenderness in a friend.

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
