Love, Pride! Why I died

Your Gifts You Won’t Give, This Life I Won’t Live

The essence of you in this light
your shine defines my empty life.
I gaze upon your translucent truths
tomorrow lied as I cried for my dying pride.

I hear the whispering echos in your calls
burning! peeling what’s left of my resolve.
So prick my soul and watch me bleed
I curse your beauty it feeds my needs.

Take my will, this disdain pain of shame
I’ve stained my name, loves gains in vain.
You care not for the seeds of your deeds
I shared my death in a note you won’t read.

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
