A life Standing Still

“A life lacking will the chill of living unfulfilled,

your excuse paves the way for the completion of another wasted day,

time will uncover your lie, no one will notice when you die”

The Life Not in Me

Adversity will chill the heart of the distracted mind, lay still the spirit before you extract the value in time, the shackles of uselessness bond with a weary soul, the scream of emptiness while the silence runs cold.

Cascading doldrums whip before you wither, rancid the negative rot while you dither, ensuring your path to resentment born in the hollowness from the lack of commitment. Hang your head and shield the tears that you cry, cruse the world then tell them why, while on your death bed just before you die, with your last gasp of air then tell your lie.

I'm a father, friend, and a family man, I believe in right and wrong, I understand the value of standing on your own. I have an iron will with a poet's heart, a belief in God is where it starts.
